C3 Group FAQ
What is a C3 Group?
C3 Groups are small groups of people that meet weekly in someone’s home to laugh together, pray together, apply the Bible message together, and just do life together. Right now we have over a dozen groups meeting in midtown Atlanta!
What is Group Launch?
Group launch is where you first connect with a group, meet the group leader, and get to know other people in the group. Fall 2011 group launch is 9/11 and 9/18. We will meet at Peachtree Christian Church (click for directions) at 6:30pm. Snacks and childcare will be provided. After the second week of Group Launch you will begin meeting weekly at the group’s normal location.
Why do we have Group Launch?
We understand that the jump from corporate worship on Sunday morning to someone’s living room is a big one. Group Launch bridges that gap by allowing you to start from scratch with a great group of people in an existing or brand new group.
Where do C3 Groups meet?
They meet in and around Midtown Atlanta in host homes.
Is there childcare available?
It depends on the group. Most groups have childcare. The group finds its own place to host the children. A group member or two usually takes care of the little ones during the group time.
What if I don’t like the first group I try?
Try another one! We understand that every person is not going to click the first night, so we ask that you hang in your group for at least 5 weeks. Usually after 5 weeks of consistently attending groups will gel, but by all means if you want to try a new group just let us know. If you would like to try a different group, email the church.
How do I get into a group?
You can sign up for a C3 Group by emailing us or the group leader and letting us know what group you are interested in. Another way is just to ask a friend if you can go with them to their group. You are welcome to attend any group at any time.
C3 Groups: 3 Basic Purposes
The Midtown Bridge C3 Groups exist to connect people with each other through small group.
Matthew 22:39 “And the second greatest commandment is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
>Share
Each week we will take time to share life on life experiences in order to develop real community. We were never meant to “do life” alone.
>Study
Each week we will commit to studying a portion of God’s Word that relates to the previous Sunday’s message. The goal of this time is to learn how to apply Biblical principles to everyday life in our experiences and relationships.
>Serve
Service is a part of the fabric of each C3 Group. Each week the group will be encouraged towards sharing the gospel through the avenues of demonstration and proclamation evangelism as well as an occasional group service project. Serving will be an intentional and personal part of the group’s DNA.
