Kidtown Children's Ministry

What to Expect:

Kidtown meets every Sunday morning during the adult worship service at 10AM. Check-in begins 15mins prior to the service beginning. We minister to children 6wks of age to 5th grade.

Our age groups are divided into 5 different classes:

  • Little Lamb Ln. (6wks-10mths)
  • Sunshine St. (10mths-2yrs)
  • Junction (2yrs-3yrs before Sept. 1)
  • Praise Park (4yrs-5yrs before Sept. 1)
  • Hope Hwy. (1st grade-5th grade)

When you arrive at Kidtown you are greeted by one of our friendly check-in volunteers. They will take your families information and put it into our computer system which then prints out a security sticker for you and your child. Your child’s sticker has his/her name, any allergy information and an alphanumeric code at the bottom. The parent’s sticker has the same corresponding code as the child’s. When the parent arrives to pick up their child, only those with a sticker are allowed back into the Kidtown theater and no child is released until the teacher has matched the child’s sticker to the corresponding parent’s sticker.

Each Sunday your child will start by writing in a prayer journal when they arrive, spend time singing praises in our large group time, and interacting with other children through engaging activities and bible teachings.

Kidtown exists to connect children and families with God through discipleship and outreach, in a nurturing environment.

We are committed to teaching our children about God’s Word and His unconditional love. We have chosen to use The Gospel Project to help build the foundation they need to begin their faith journey. This curriculum is developed by Lifeway. The Gospel Project for kids is a Bible study resource that shows how Christ fits into the entire Gospel Story.

This curriculum is filled with biblical history, activities, video dramas, and music. We encourage and challenge the children to learn their monthly bible verse which coordinates with the monthly theme of the lessons. The children begin their Sunday morning writing, praying and journaling.  This is a tool we use to teach the children the importance of prayer and to connect with them on a more personal level. We also spend 15 minutes in Large Group time each Sunday singing and praising the Lord for who He is and what He has done for us.
